Beauty as Remembering, and Words of Love

Beauty as Remembering, and Words of Love

After the darkness of winter, as spring begins to rise, we remember the sun inside of ourselves. This is a moment of beauty.

I've come to think of beauty as a remembering.

It is not what we are taught from the mainstream.

It is what's in the windows of the eyes, the innermost of the heart.

It is how we are when we are in the depths of our humanness. Our human emotions; sadness, anger, grief. It is when we're joyful; dancing, swimming, or singing. {Feeling is beauty}

Beauty is in the way we care for our loved ones.

It is in the ever unfolding of who we are. An opening, petal by petal, thorny stem and all.

We don't need to be dressed up for any of that. Yet the desire to dress up for the celebration of life is perfectly natural, too.

It has nothing to do with appearance, yet we have every right to feel beautiful in our appearance, no matter who.

Beauty is when we smile from the inside, and pass it along.

It is in the way a baby bird cracks open its egg shell.

It is in the way a seed opens, roots, sprouts, blooms, and unfurls.

May you come to know all the beauty in and around you <3

Powerful words of LOVE to reflect with...

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
―
Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

1. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.

“The important thing is not to think much but to love much; and so do that which best stirs you to love.”
 Teresa of Avila
